Business FAQ
Direct answers to common questions about listing a business, business licenses, loyalty programs, offers, and templates in GetDiscount.
GetDiscount is designed for businesses that want to create loyalty programs or offers for their customers. During setup, choose the business category that best describes your business, then select and customize a template to suit its specific goals.
Yes. GetDiscount can import an existing Google Maps business listing. Search for the official business name, select the correct listing, and confirm ownership with an SMS code sent to the phone number registered for that business on Google Maps.
If the Google Maps listing has no phone number, GetDiscount provides a fallback dialog where you can enter a phone number for SMS confirmation.
SMS verification helps protect businesses from being claimed by someone who is not authorised to manage them. The business must be verified before the import is completed.
Yes. A GetDiscount business license is required for business owner operations such as enabling a business and creating loyalty programs or offers. License setup and payment are completed in the GetDiscount web portal, then the active license is shown in the mobile app.
Yes. The Manage screen has separate Programs and Offers tabs. Their creation flow is the same: choose a business, select a template and language, configure the content, review the options, and activate the item when it is ready.
Yes. Templates start with predefined fields, which you can configure for your business. You can update the customer-facing values, choose the availability period, set re-enrolment behavior, and review or extend the Terms and Conditions for the specific program or offer.
Programs and offers can be created in 32 languages. Select the language your customers should see while choosing a template.
Allow re-enrolment lets a customer join the same program again after completing its required steps and collecting the reward. Keep this setting disabled unless repeat enrolment is part of your marketing plan.
No. Imported businesses, newly created programs, and offers are disabled by default. Enable the program or offer from Manage, then make sure the business toggle is also enabled on the owner home screen before customers can see it.
Open your Profile screen and select Client Mode. From the Around You screen, verify that your enabled business and its active program or offer are visible.
